Roles and Responsibilities:

General duties:

  • Matching Purchase Orders
  • Assisting with monthly supplier payment run
  • Filing supplier invoices and statements
  • Liaising with internal departments to resolve any accounts queries
  • General Accounts Admin support to assist in the smooth running of the accounts department
  • Checking banks for payments received
  • Processing vendor invoices into the company database
  • Processing payments of vendor invoices
  • Initiating contact with vendors to secure payments on outstanding invoices
  • Preparation of monthly reports
  • General office duties
  • Dealing with accountants & auditors
  • Dealing with other finance tasks as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • An interest in developing your career in accounts
  • Previous experience in an office environment, 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good PC skills including MS Word and Excel required
  • A willingness to learn and be enthusiastic and motivated is essential

NEWLY QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT

Polonez a leading retailer in Eastern European food products have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant. This position ensures that all aspects of the accounting and statutory function are developed and delivered for multiple entities, mainly retail and holding companies. Responsibilities include management of the day to day accounting operations to ensure that there is accurate and timely reporting of historic financial information.  This opportunity will be based in Clondalkin Dublin 22

The successful candidate will be expected to operate in a fast paced busy environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Accounting and controls

  • Accounting for retail and holding companies activities, ownership of the general ledger and monthly reconciliations and account analysis.
  • Review invoices ensuring costs are properly recorded and charged to appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers, capital projects, SOWs, as applicable
  • Preparation and control of intercompany allocations and billings across entities.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts. 
  • Contact for external auditors 

Tax compliance

  • Preparation of Bi- Monthly VAT returns, Monthly PAYE returns
  • Contact person for external tax advisors

Other:

  • Prepare budget and forecast information for retail and holding companies and submit for consolidation.
  • Liaise with treasury re cash flow management of the entities
  • Support Financial Operations as needed (example: for supplier payment batches and uploading payments in the bank software for approval)
  • Responsible for maintaining internal financial controls including ensuring all internal accounting policies are correctly implemented and adhered to.
  • Support continuous process improvement in reducing the month-end reporting window by stream-lining processes and re-organising activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining detailed knowledge of general ledger technology and for driving improvements and efficiencies
  • Responsible for ad-hoc analysis or investigative work where necessary/required
  • Other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting function.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with all standard operating procedures in place relevant to your work activities ensuring not to perform any tasks you have not received training in.
  • Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System and relevant standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Newly Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA) required
  • Solid understanding of FRS102 required

HR ADMINISTRATOR

The HR Administrator will act as a first point of contact for all staff, providing an effective Human Resource/ Administration service, coordinate HR recruitment systems including safer recruitment practices, and ensure accurate HR records on all employees. Management of company payroll for approximately 175 employees operating weekly, monthly, pay frequencies

This opportunity will be based in Clondalkin Dublin 22

Roles and Responsibilities:

General duties:

  • Act as the first point of contact for the HR Team to manage all employee relations
  • Provide expert employee relations advice, management and guidance and work effectively with managers and employees in this space
  • Conduct grievance and disciplinary meetings to closure
  • Assist in the absent management and performance management of staff
  • Assist with various HR projects
  • Maintain the HR System to ensure all data is up to date and accurate
  • Supporting in completion of the recruitment cycle from initial job application, interviewing, screening through to contract and induction stage
  • Managing the starter, leaver process and internal transfer or move of employees ensuring the Payroll System for salaried staff is up to date and accurate
  • Provide HR operational support including, absence management updates, HR reports and internal and external audits as appropriate
  • Devise HR initiatives to support the development of people management practices and increase employee engagement
  • To be flexible and carry out other office duties as required

 

Payroll Duties:

Candidate Profile. / Minimum Requirements

  • 3-5 years HR experience within a Generalist HR role, within a busy environment
  • A degree in HR Management or related qualification with CIPD accreditation is required
  • You must be able to demonstrate best practice in all HR principles and have a strong HR employment law understanding and awareness
  • An understanding of main PC applications (MS office) is required and you will have excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Good excel skills
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Excellent understanding of the operation of the PAYE system
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Dealing with accountants & auditors
  • Dealing with other finance tasks as assigned
